On Thursday, April 5, 2018, two student teams fromthe Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Châlons-en-Champagne took part in the final of the fifth edition of the FANUC Olympiads. The Bachelor of Technology students and general engineering students competed against around twenty teams in five industrial robotics challenges.

On May 3 and 4, 2018, Cap Sciences will host the first "Recruitment Hackathon Workshop" organized by the INNOV'ANCE InstituteArts et Métiers . 

Starting your own business while studying engineering at Arts et Métiers is possible, and that's exactly what four second-year students have done with their entrepreneurial project, "Pangolin." They are now preparing to test their first prototype of a modular protection system for imminent market launch.

In April 2018, the Voilz'arts association from the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille took part in the 50th edition of the EDHEC Cruise Race in Brest, the biggest student sporting event in Europe. It is a five-day regatta consisting of coastal races.

The European research project ColRobot combines the latest European technological requirements in robotics in the fields of assembly processes in the automotive and aerospace industries to create an integrated collaborative robotics system. Led by Arts et Métiers, it brings together a consortium of 11 partners. After two years of R&D, the first demonstrators are now seeing the light of day.

Solidarityis an important value for the GaSole student association. On April 12, 2018, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille will host a meeting co-organized byAFNOR Hauts-de-France and the Collège Français de Métrologie entitled "Metrology at the heart of ISO 9001: 2015." This will be an opportunity to revisit a key discipline that is a pillar of the industry of the future.

Gaining professional experience while studying to become a general engineer is possible with the apprenticeship program offered at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers . Pierre Rousseau, currently in his second year, wants to promote this training program.
