AllArts et Métiers students, wherever they are located, have access to specialized online resources and printed materials in campus libraries.
Libraries: between scientific knowledge and culture
The campuses have a library which, in addition to offering a comprehensive collection of documents on engineering, industrial engineering, and technology, is a place of mediation, open to scientific and general culture, with language learning centers, spaces for business creation and job search, leisure/cultural spaces, and more.
The libraries are open to the public and offer 460 workspaces and meeting rooms. They offer books, magazines, comics, DVDs, student dissertations, theses, and more.
An online document collection comprising essential databases in engineering sciences and more than 10,000 scientific journals meets the information needs of the institution's students, teachers, and researchers.
Working closely with the Scientific Information and Open Science Department (DISSO), library staff are available to help the institution's users search for, implement, and promote the scientific and technical information they need for their activities.
Open science
Deeply committed to the open science movement, DISSO aims to support research and promote scientific output. This is achieved through the implementation of the SAM open archive, the data management plan drafting support unit, and the provision of the Arts et Métiers data warehouse. The creation of the RELIAM open archive of free educational resources complements this policy of open science.
Towards the AtriuM
In 2024, libraries will join the Evolutive Learning Factoriesproject, a structuring project of the institution aimed at creating school factories based on technological platforms. In this context, they take the name AtriuM, places of life enabling technological and documentary mediation in multiple spaces such as meeting rooms, individual work booths, autonomous video studios, immersive corners, etc.
Online resources accessible to everyone
From the Arts et Métiers libraries website, you will have access to the catalog which lists all 50,000 documents available in the institution's libraries. It allows you to search by document category, theme, and year. Once logged in, you can view your current loans, renew them, reserve documents, and make purchase suggestions.
The SAM open archive brings together scientific articles and publications by researchers at the institution, which can be freely accessed online in accordance with open access principles. With around 500 articles added each year, this site provides a comprehensive overview of the research carried out at the institution.
RELIAM open educational archive
