Contract research is an essential component of the school's relationship with the socio-economic world. The school has a subsidiary dedicated to this activity, AMVALOR, which is developing an ambitious program of chairs.
Arts et Métiers twelve research chairs focused on topics with significant societal and/or industrial impact, such as:
- The environment:Urban Mining Chair, dedicated to eco-design and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment with ecosystem; Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Chair of the Future, developing innovation in the field of product lifecycle management methods and tools, as well as training employees in PLM tools and preparing them for Industry 4.0 in partnership with Capgemini.
- Clean Mobility:The Nonlinear Dynamic Chair for Future Absorbers and the Vibroacoustics of Electric Powertrains Chair (VIBRACCE) in partnership with Valeo, aimed at reducing vibrations associated with the use of cleaner technologies;
- Smart industrial systems:Create ID Chair withESI, on advanced digital methods for accurate, real-time customized simulation (Hybrid Twin) of material behavior and manufacturing processes.
