The development of collaborative research with businesses is at the heart of the activities ofthe Carnot ARTS Institute (Research Actions for Technology and Society).

This structure, supported by Arts et Métiers its academic partners, is an effective mechanism that provides support to numerous industrial sectors in cutting-edge technologies.
Its scope of intervention is broad: conducting technological diagnostics and providing services and engineering; setting up research and development studies; and supporting the industrial transfer of acquired knowledge.

Scientific and technological excellence

The Carnot ARTS Institute brings together 23 laboratories whose human and material potential places it at the forefront of regional and national research. Thanks to the complementary nature of its expertise, the Institute has extensive resources at its disposal to undertake ambitious programs.

The Carnot label

Created in 2006, the Carnot label recognizes the ability of research institutions and organizations to conduct collaborative research activities with companies. It is part of the Research Pact, one of the objectives of which is to promote technology transfer, partnerships between public laboratories and companies, and the development of innovation.

ARTS has been awarded the Carnot label since 2006, renewed in 2011, 2016, and 2020.
