Student Engagement Enhancement

It aims to recognize and encourage students' activities beyond their academic studies, such as volunteering, community projects, or participation in university and civic life. At Arts et Métiers make this commitment visible by rewarding it in the student's academic record with 3 additional ECTS credits and/or adjustments to their course load. This also strengthens students' personal and professional skills.

All volunteer work is valued and is not limited to student associations within the institution. Thus, if any of the following activities are carried out, they can be valued:

  • volunteer work within an association governed by the law of July 1, 1901;
  • activities promoting the engineering profession (Ecole et Ingénieur, Ingénieur au Féminin);
  • a civic service (civic service, volunteering, success teams, any first aid and safety activity);
  • an activity committed to sustainable development and/or CSR;
  • a sporting activity at the national or high level;
  • student artist activity;
  • military activity in the operational reserve;
  • volunteer firefighter commitment;
  • volunteering for the military.
