Thanks to their close proximity to the school’s laboratories and faculty members, engineering students are exposed to scientific challenges throughout their studies. The Master of Science or the engineering degree, particularly at Arts et Métiers, offers interested students a program that combines theoretical instruction with research work. They are then well-equipped to begin their doctoral studies, which focus on defining a thesis topic and carrying out the research.

The school's laboratories welcome some 350 doctoral students from Arts et Métiers. For three years, they benefit from a unique environment of cutting-edge technology and expertise, while contributing to high-value-added scientific projects.

Admission requirements

Applicants must hold a Master of Science ) or an equivalent degree recognized by the doctoral committee.

The candidate must:

1. Choose a topic from those proposed by the doctoral school
2. Contact your thesis advisor
3. Appear before an admissions committee for an oral interview

Registration via the doctoral school website, signing of the thesis charter between the doctoral student, supervisor, and institution (rights and responsibilities).
