Arts et Métiers SKF Magnetic Mechatronics have been working together since January 2023 on an industrial chair dedicated to Scientific Machine Learning. Over a period of five years, the chair will aim to optimize the performance of magnetic levitation systems.
Developing hybrid digital twins
This chair will develop hybrid digital twins capable of operating in real time, using model reduction techniques made possible by scientific machine learning, which combines scientific computing and machine learning techniques using artificial intelligence. These models will then be used in all phases of the machines' life cycle, from conception and design to validation. Simulation will optimize testing and thus improve manufacturing processes.
φML also provides the Arts et Métiers group with an opportunity Arts et Métiers an R&D facility for conducting tests at the "Espace campus" in Vernon (27).
This chair is headed by Chady Ghnatios, a specialist in simulation and digital twins. He develops model reduction techniques, hybrid twins, and data-driven models, with applications in composite materials.
