BECOMING A NEW PLAYER IN INNOVATION IN THREE YEARS

This Bachelor's degree program in Science and Technology aims to train innovation leaders for the industry of tomorrow. The "sustainable design" track is designed to meet the expectations of those who wish to accelerate the ecological transition through the deployment of sustainable industrial systems (energy storage, renewable energy, etc.).

This three-year program, which follows a general or technological STI2D baccalaureate, leads to the Diplôme d’Établissement “Bachelor Arts et Métiers). The distinctive feature of this Bachelor's degree is that it places a project-based approach at the heart of the learning process. This program is taught atthe Institut Arts et Métiers Chambéry.

DIFFERENT ISSUES ADDRESSED

This bachelor's degree is part of the "Battery School" consortium led by electric battery manufacturer Verkor and is based on strong collaboration between industry and higher education institutions. The circular economy, future careers related to electric mobility in low-carbon industries, industrial battery production (particularly in gigafactories), end-of-life processing, and contributions to France's industrial sovereignty are among the issues addressed during the program.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Design provides all the skills required by industry. It allows graduates to enter the world of work directly in middle management positions, such as production or maintenance team leader, eco-design project manager, or design office technician.

THE FIVE STRENGTHS OF THE BACHELOR'S DEGREE

  • An apprenticeship program for innovation stakeholders in the industry of tomorrow
  • A sustainable industrial production dynamic
  • Innovative teaching methods
  • A guaranteed professional future

The Bachelor's program in Science and Technology, Sustainable Design is primarily a practical program and therefore requires attendance in order to fully participate in practical work and projects. High-level athletes and artists may request adjustments to the program in order to spread the training over more than three years, allowing them to continue their commitment to their sport or art. These adjustments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis with the program director at the beginning of the academic year.
