This positioning gives I2M the consistency and capabilities to respond to ambitious scientific challenges, while remaining open to other disciplines such as applied mathematics, electronics, and energy.

IBHGC LABORATORY - GEORGES CHARPAK INSTITUTE OF HUMAN BIOMECHANICS

Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Paris

The institute is dedicated to human biomechanics: from modeling the neuro-musculoskeletal system of living subjects to injury or degenerative mechanisms. Its work, which is based on a transdisciplinary approach, aims to better understand the mechanisms of damage and contribute to the design and improvement of means of prevention, diagnosis, and therapeutic management.

IRENAV LABORATORY - INSTITUTE FOR NAVAL RESEARCH AND STUDIES

Partner laboratory in Brest

The Naval Research and Studies Institute (IRENav) is a multidisciplinary research laboratory created in 2000 under the supervision of the Naval Academy and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers. It is certified as a Research Team (EA3634) and Carnot Institute within the framework of CARNOT ARTS. The laboratory conducts upstream and applied research on naval systems in line with the needs of the French Navy. The work is carried out in the field of engineering sciences and technologies and is based on high added-value technological platforms.

L2EP LABORATORY - ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND POWER ELECTRONICS LABORATORY

Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Lille

The laboratory consists of four research teams whose work covers all aspects of electrical energy: control, networks, power electronics, and digital tools and methods. It also leads joint research initiatives, such as the technology research cluster involved in the MEDEE (energy management for electric drives) project.

LABOMAP LABORATORY - BOURGUIGNON MATERIALS AND PROCESSES LABORATORY

Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Cluny

LaBoMaP brings together three research teams dedicated to the machining of green wood and metallic materials, with materials science as a cross-cutting theme. The research work focuses mainly on three topics: the machining and characterization of wood composite materials; the study of the interaction between materials and surfaces; and the study of high-speed cutting of difficult-to-machine materials.

LAMPA LABORATORY - ANGEVIN LABORATORY FOR MECHANICS, PROCESSES, AND INNOVATION

Arts et Métiers Campus in Arts et Métiers / Arts et Métiers Institute Arts et Métiers Laval

Based at two sites, the Angers campus and the Laval virtual reality center, LAMPA is involved in the fields of innovation, advanced manufacturing processes, and the sustainability of materials and structures. Digital and virtual technologies are at the heart of its research work, for example, digital simulation of processes to understand the thermal and mechanical phenomena involved.

LCFC LABORATORY - DESIGN, MANUFACTURING, AND CONTROL LABORATORY

Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Paris & Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Metz

The LCFC's research activities focus on production systems in the service and manufacturing sectors. There are many challenges: designing, organizing, managing, and controlling production systems; manufacturing while ensuring quality, safety, and health in the workplace; developing new manufacturing processes; and designing high-tech features and uses.

LCPI LABORATORY - PRODUCT DESIGN AND INNOVATION LABORATORY

Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Paris

The LCPI's work is dedicated to a single theme: optimizing the design and innovation process. Drawing on engineering sciences and the humanities and social sciences, the research is based on five main tools: virtual reality prototyping and rapid manufacturing; innovation, foresight, and creativity; usage analysis; Kansei engineering; eco-design and product life cycle.

LEM3 LABORATORY - LABORATORY FOR THE STUDY OF MICROSTRUCTURES AND MATERIALS MECHANICS

Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Metz

A transdisciplinary research center combining solid mechanics and metallurgy, materials science, chemistry, and physics, LEM3 develops projects in collaboration with more than 60 international laboratories. Its expertise covers a wide range of materials (metals and alloys, smart materials, composites, geomaterials, etc.) and applications (automotive, aeronautics, energy, civil engineering, etc.).

LIFSE LABORATORY - FLUID AND ENERGY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING LABORATORY

Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Paris

LIFSE's scope of action extends from fundamental research to applied research in order to address the many increasingly complex scientific and technological challenges. LIFSE also responds to requests from the socio-economic world through national and European research programs or research projects in partnership with industry.
These areas of research cover the sectors of renewable energy, sustainable mobility, aeronautics and space, processes, and health.

LISPEN LABORATORY - LABORATORY FOR PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers , Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Cluny, Arts et Métiers Institute Arts et Métiers Chalon-sur-Saône, Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers Lille

LISPEN brings together the expertise of faculty members from theAix-en-ProvenceandCluny campuses(Institut ImageinChalon-sur-Saône) andLille aroundthe development and use of multi-physical and virtual dynamic systems for the Industry of the Future. Research topics include System Engineering & Digital Modeling, Simulation and Control of Systems, Human-System Interaction, and Decision Support.
