A year to refine your project and become more professional
To meet both student expectations and industry needs, Arts et Métiers a wide range of final-year programs that can be completed as a student, apprentice, or under a professional training contract. Each engineering student can choose the program that best suits their professional goals.
Career path: entering the workforce
Around thirty areas of expertise are offered, directly linked to the strengths of each campus and institute in terms of research and innovation: new energies, virtual immersion, building and public works, etc. An expertise project and a six-month end-of-studies internship in a company, between February and September, are also part of the career path program.

Research and development journey: advancing knowledge
The numerous research master's specializations allow students to pursue careers in research or continue on to doctoral studies. Students obtain both the Arts et Métiers engineering degree Arts et Métiers the research master's degree.
The specializations are divided into four categories:
- Mechanical Engineering,
- Energy,
- Industrial Engineering,
- Health engineering
Dual degree program: gain additional expertise
Thanks to partnerships with leading French schools and institutions, students have the opportunity to broaden their areas of expertise and obtain a second degree. In most cases, these programs require students to extend the length of their studies.
The institutions concerned: Agro ParisTech, the Naval Academy, the National School of Civil Aviation (ENAC),the National School of Industrial Design (ENSCI),the Special School of Public Works (ESTP),the Institute of Business Administration (IAE) in Aix-en-Provence,the National School of Petroleum and Motors (IFP School),the National Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN), andthe École Supérieure d'Électricité (Supélec).
Dual-skills program: enriching your curriculum
Three French institutions welcomeArts et Métiers engineering studentsArts et Métiers broaden their skills. This one-semester course does not lead to an additional degree.
The institutions concerned:the École supérieure du soudage et de ses applications (ESSA), the École spéciale des travaux publics (ESTP), and heSam University ( Centre Michel Serres).
Engineering and Sustainable Construction Management Program: 2 years of training in construction trades
On the Angers campus the military infrastructure engineering program is now open to civilian students from the second year of the PGE program. It is called Engineeringand Sustainable Construction Management and leads to an Arts et Métiers engineering degree. Students gain skills in the field of construction, and this program leads to a variety of careers such as project management, construction management, civil engineering, cost estimation, structural engineering, and more . In the third year, students can enroll as students or under a professional training contract.
Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation Program (PEIT)
In the Grande École program, the PEIT is intended for aspiring entrepreneurs who are either:
- a personal technological entrepreneurship project,
- a technological innovation project within a company (in conjunction with a research laboratory).
In both cases, the goal for students is to develop an entrepreneurial spirit, i.e., entrepreneurial skills and attitudes.
They are offered specific training and individualized support within a regional incubator and/or the Arts et Métiers incubator.
This training program fosters the emergence of specific profiles of entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial engineers, who are highly sought after today by large corporations as well as small and medium-sized businesses.
