Offer an internship or recruit an Arts et Métiers engineer
Offer an internship
As part of their studies, engineering students must complete several internships in companies. Each year, more than 2,500 internships are carried out.
The first-year internship is an opportunity to discover the industrial world. Lasting four weeks, it focuses on performing operational tasks as an operator in the fields of production or industrial services.
In the second year, the optional industrial internship allows engineering students to put their skills to use in a real-world setting. Conducted in France or abroad, it lasts 13 weeks, between mid-June and the end of September. Its objective is the practical application of what is learned during the teaching units: establishing a preliminary design, developing a detailed design, mastering the transformation of materials, designing an industrial system, piloting an industrial system, or evaluating human-structure-society interactions.
The highlight of the program, the six-month end-of-studies internship allows students to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout the course. It culminates in a report, an evaluation by the internship supervisor at the company, and a public defense.
The bachelor's degree program also includes internships that directly contribute to students' skill development: a four-week internship in the first year, a three-month internship in the second year, and an intensive professional immersion in the final year.
