Teaching methods rooted in industrial realities

The Arts et Métiers Grande École Program aims to equip students with a wide range of skills:

  • Draw up a preliminary draft
  • Designing an industrial product or system
  • Mastering the transformation of materials and various processes
  • Implement and manage an industrial system
  • Assessing human-structure-society interactions

The entire program is designed to enable the gradual development of skills. In the first year, engineering students learn about all the tools needed to design and build mechanical, energy, and industrial systems. Second-year courses focus on the main areas of engineering: mechanical engineering, energy engineering, and industrial engineering. The curriculum includes a professional project and an introductory research project.

Several possible paths in the final year

In their final year of study, students will add a unique touch to their curriculum by choosing from a range of specializations and courses. They will also complete a semester in a company, providing them with an opportunity to enhance their practical skills and refine their career plans.

This end-of-studies internship, during which students are required to solve a technological problem within a company, is not the only one offered as part of the program. Starting in the first year, a four-week internship provides students with their first taste of the industrial world. An optional three-month internship can also be completed between the second and third years.

Arts et Métiers also at the forefront of two joint recruitment programs: the PT sector bank and the Centrale Supélec competitive entrance exam, which represent more than 80 engineering schools and nearly 5,000 places. The PT sector bank is a system available to all institutions recruiting students in physics and technology preparatory classes. Implemented by Arts et Métiers.

This competition is open to holders of university degrees (French or foreign) obtained in the following fields: Mathematics, Physics, Electronics-Electricity-Automation (EEA), Computer Science, Engineering Sciences, Mechanics, Civil Engineering.

Admissions for BUT/BTS/Bachelor's degrees: AMBition Ingénieur competitive entrance exam

Arts et Métiers a new opportunity to access the Grande Ecole Program (PGE) with a BUT, BTS, or Bachelor's degree Arts et Métiers.

Becoming an Arts et Métiers engineer Arts et Métiers an apprenticeship guarantees the same academic quality as the Arts et Métiers Grande École Program, while learning the codes and workings of the company and putting the knowledge acquired at school into practice. Students benefit from a solid theoretical foundation with 18 months of professional experience. The apprenticeship will be run by theArts et Métiers CFA.

Assignment to the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers the Grande Ecole Engineering Program as a student:

The first year of the student program must be completed at one of the Arts et Métiers campuses Arts et Métiers : Aix-en-Provence, Angers, Bordeaux-Talence, Châlons-en-Champagne, Cluny, Lille, Metz.

In the second and third years, depending on their chosen course, students may study in the regions, in Paris, or even abroad.

The Grande Ecole Program is also offered at Arts et Métiers Rabat campus. The program consists of four academic semesters in Rabat (Morocco), one academic semester at one of the French campuses, and one semester of end-of-studies internship.
