Internship in Armenia: an enriching experience for future engineers

As part of their training, ten students from the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talence and ESTP Paris, a prestigious engineering school specializing in construction, completed an internship in Armenia, combining cultural immersion, humanitarian work, and professional experience. This trip is an opportunity for them to develop skills for their future careers and collaborate with young people from other disciplines.

From Bordeaux to Tokyo: research and training for the energy of the future

Félix Lavanchy, a third-year student at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talence, is about to embark on a unique experience in his engineering career. Passionate about scientific research, he has landed an internship at the Franco-Japanese LIMMS laboratory in Tokyo, where he will work on optimizing redox flow batteries (a type of liquid battery in which energy is stored in fluids).

Since July 1, 2024, when the project was launched, two teams from L2EP (Network and Power Electronics) have been involved in a brand new research project as part of the European Horizon Europe funding program: the "Prosecco" project (DC PROtection, SECurity, Control and Optimization).

The objective? To study the interaction between high-voltage direct current and alternating current electrical networks.
