The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille held its first afternoon event to raise awareness about women's studies and careers in industry on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

A look back at an event rich in emotion and meaning!

As part of its partnership with Texas A&M University, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers is joining forces for the fourth time with an event that is part of TAMU's Aggies Invent program: the international Invent For The Planet (IFTP) hackathon.

As part of their training, ten students from the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talence and ESTP Paris, a prestigious engineering school specializing in construction, completed an internship in Armenia, combining cultural immersion, humanitarian work, and professional experience. This trip is an opportunity for them to develop skills for their future careers and collaborate with young people from other disciplines.

Félix Lavanchy, a third-year student at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talence, is about to embark on a unique experience in his engineering career. Passionate about scientific research, he has landed an internship at the Franco-Japanese LIMMS laboratory in Tokyo, where he will work on optimizing redox flow batteries (a type of liquid battery in which energy is stored in fluids).

The role of solidarity project managers for the AEG on the Lille campus: commitment, organization, and human impact.

Since July 1, 2024, when the project was launched, two teams from L2EP (Network and Power Electronics) have been involved in a brand new research project as part of the European Horizon Europe funding program: the "Prosecco" project (DC PROtection, SECurity, Control and Optimization).

The objective? To study the interaction between high-voltage direct current and alternating current electrical networks.

Thanks to a vibrant student life, students in Grande Ecole Engineering Programme PGE) can develop valuable skills that will serve them well in the professional world. Christophe Maricourt and Lae Degregori, second-year students at the Metz campus, are preparing to pass the torch. Here’s a look back at the past year for these two students. 

For more than twenty years, the Microstructures and Materials Mechanics Laboratory (LEM3) on the Metz campus has been supporting manufacturers in the development of more environmentally friendly steels. This expertise is also put to good use in the training of engineering students in the Grande École Program.
