The JENII project delivers a manual and a presentation film to disseminate best practices from four years of development around educational digital twins.

An accessible and readable manual

The JENII (Immersive and Interactive Digital Teaching Twins) project is coming to an end with two new deliverables: a best practices manual and a presentation film. The manual serves as a guide, explaining what has been done, how and why, and offering tips for replicating the systems developed within the project. "It is aimed at educational institutions, teaching teams, and project leaders who want to embark on the adventure of digital twins for training," explains Sébastien Fernandez, JENII project manager and director of development at ELF. "This document is not a specialized white paper: it has been designed to be accessible, readable, and to make the subject easily applicable." Structured around thematic fact sheets, a multiple-choice quiz on common misconceptions, and concrete examples, it aims to democratize the immersive educational uses developed by JENII, drawing on a variety of use cases.

A film retracing educational work

To accompany the manual, a film was produced with the Parisian communications agency Camaïeu. It aims to show, in images, the experiments carried out at Arts et Métiers in partner institutions. "We wanted to avoid a purely institutional format. The film shows in concrete terms what these digital twins are, what they are used for, and how students use them in their studies," adds Sébastien Fernandez. This content will also be used to promote the project at events such as the final conference and when applying for educational awards.

Towards national distribution and long-term prospects

The manual and film will be officially unveiled at the JENII conference to be held on June 25 and 26 in Paris. "Although the project is coming to an end, it paves the way for new dynamics," concludes Sébastien Fernandez. "We have laid the foundations. It is now up to each institution to use the tools and feedback to adapt and enrich its own educational transformation strategy."

JENII closing conference

After four years of innovation in engineering education, the JENII project is coming to an end and is finally ready to be unveiled to the general public! The project teams invite you to the closing conference, which will be held on June 25 and 26, 2025, at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris.

On the agenda: review of project achievements, pitches for immersive and interactive digital twins, virtual reality demonstrations, round table discussion on the uses of AR/VR in education, discussions on dissemination and post-JENII prospects.

This symposium will be held with the participation of partners (Arts et Métiers, CEA, Cnam, and CESI) and experts in the field, including Philippe Fuchs (Mines Paris - PSL), Nabil Anwer (ENS Paris-Saclay), Beatriz Moya García (Arts et Métiers), and Carles Coca (Alstom).
