On July 6, Rachel, a former doctoral student at the I2M laboratory on the Bordeaux campus, won the Jean-Marc Gey (JMG) Prize, which rewards doctoral students conducting research in a laboratory affiliated with the National School of Chemistry, Biology, and Physics (ENSCBP), for projects or thesis topics related to sustainable development.

Launched by SOFIMAC Innovation on June 8, the Pertinence Invest 2 fund will have €70 million to finance deep tech start-ups. Arts et Métiers, through its commercialization subsidiary AMVALOR, will be a partner alongside 19 engineering schools and universities and 11 industrial companies.

On Saturday, July 4, three engineering students specializing in Production/Maintenance at the Bordeaux-Talence campus won the regional gold medal at the Olympiades des Métiers (Skills Olympics) in the Industrial Production team category.

Clément Cazautets, Tom Lopez, and Mickaël Audureau are now preparing for the next stage of this high-level competition: the national finals in Lyon, scheduled for December 2020.

Arts et Métiers, in partnership withOpinion Way, has published its eighth barometer survey on young people's perceptions of industry. An initial survey was conducted in February 2020, and certain questions were asked again in May to see whether the COVID crisis had had an impact on young people's perceptions. The results show that, despite the context, the industry's image remains positive among high school students.
