Michal KOLENIČ is currently a third-year student in the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme the Arts et Métiers campus, specializing in “Factory of the Future: From Prototyping to High-Speed Manufacturing” (PROTeUS). He reflects on his experience pursuing a dual degree at Arts et Métiers.

Since its creation in 2007,American Friends of Arts et Métiers AFAM) has acted as a catalyst for the Gadzarts community in the United States. Its goal is to support Arts et Métiers students Arts et Métiers wish to do an internship in the United States, to energize the Gadzarts community in the United States, and to promote the school!

The PIMM laboratory on the Paris campus has just been awarded the coordination of a European project bringing together 10 partners.

After a initial experiment conducted in February 2020, the woodworking team at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny and two colleagues from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris La Villette (ENSAPLV) organized a visit for a group of eight M1 students from this architecture school to the timber hall to experience an immersion in wood as a material and its economic environment, and to improve interactions between students from the two schools.

How can you control a robotic arm in a zero-gravity environment using your own body movements? From October 7 to 17, nine Arts et Métiers apprentices studying industrial engineering and energy engineering at the Paris campus went on a mission to Senegal as part of their humanitarian association, Hum'am. Their goal was to install a solar-powered water desalination machine in Ourong, an island in Senegal, thereby helping 500 villagers!

Arts et Métiers, through its LAMPA (Laboratoire Angevin de Mécanique, Procédés et innovAtion) research laboratory located on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers , and the CEA have signed a three-year partnership agreement. The aim is to offer companies innovative methods for characterizing the durability of materials under severe mechanical and environmental stresses, a major challenge for competitiveness and environmental responsibility.
