Paul Moreau is an engineering student and a high-level track and field athlete. Due to an injury, the engineering student was unable to train this year but was able to take advantage of all the other sports activities offered by Arts et Métiers. This will help him stay in shape before returning to track and field in September!
Developing the structure of an exoskeleton to relearn how to walk!
The RehabByExo project, a flagship initiative of the Carnot ARTS Institute, aims to develop an exoskeleton for the rehabilitation of patients with severe hemiplegia, with the goal of helping them regain functional walking abilities. As part of this project, Valentin Spiroux is conducting his doctoral research at LAMPA (Angers Laboratory of Mechanics, Processes, and Innovation), located on the Angers campus.

Beams: an innovative probe for removing tumor residues
Since March 2021, the startup Beams has been incubated at Arts et Métiers. Beams offers innovative medical devices for oncology and is developing an intraoperative probe designed to help surgeons precisely locate malignant tumor residues in real time and remove them while preserving surrounding healthy tissue.
