More than 150 representatives from French and German universities and grandes écoles are expected in Metz for the general assembly ofthe Franco-German University (UFA) from May 23 to 25, 2018. The event will be held in a border department (Moselle) and a city marked by strong Franco-German interculturalism. The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Metz is also the only Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers offer an integrated international program (i.e., accessible from the first year): a Franco-German program!

In a context of technological evolution and innovation, Arts et Métiers acquired state-of-the-art equipment with the BlueLemon virtual immersion room atthe Image Institute in Chalon-sur-Saône.

After working in the oil industry, Luca Rossini became interested in energy storage and decided to pursue a Specialized Master's® in New Energy Management (SYSPEC) at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille. This year of training enabled him to create RossiniEnergy, a company that develops innovative and competitive energy storage systems to enable self-consumption and distribution of solar electricity.

With more than 1,000 participants from the eight campuses of École Arts et Métiers, the Grandes UAI ( Union Athlétique Inter-Gadazarique) is a major sporting event in the lives of engineering students. On Thursday, April 5, 2018, two student teams fromthe Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Châlons-en-Champagne took part in the final of the fifth edition of the FANUC Olympiads. The Bachelor of Technology students and general engineering students competed against around twenty teams in five industrial robotics challenges.

In April 2018, the Voilz'arts association from the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille took part in the 50th edition of the EDHEC Cruise Race in Brest, the biggest student sporting event in Europe. It is a five-day regatta consisting of coastal races.
