On February 4, 2020,Arts et Métiers ESI Group inaugurated CREATE-ID, an international chair for teaching and research in the field of engineering and digital engineering of materials, processes, structures, and systems. On the same day, Professor Francisco Chinesta, engineering professor and researcher at the Laboratory of Processes and Engineering in Mechanics and Materials (PIMM – Joint Research UnitArts et Métiers) and holder of the CREATE-ID Chair, was awarded the CNRS Silver Medal.

Anaïs André and Théophile Papadopoulos are members of the student council. They manage the common areas shared by more than 300 students living in the Arts et Métiers campus residence Arts et Métiers Metz, including access, logistics, events, etc. Their dedication enables students to live together harmoniously in functional common areas.

On Tuesday, January 28, six Arts et Métiers doctors Arts et Métiers the Pierre Bézier Thesis Awards. 
Created in 2005 in tribute to Pierre Bézier, a renowned Arts et Métiers engineer, this award, funded by the Arts et Métiers Foundation, recognizes the best theses of each graduating class every year.

The Arts et Métiers social inclusion and equal opportunities program (OPTIM) has been certified "Cordée de la réussite" since the creation of this label in November 2008 by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the State Secretariat for Urban Policy. The 2019-2020 academic year marks the 14th consecutive year of operation for this program on the Cluny campus.

On January 22 and 23, 2020, Frédéric Merienne, head ofthe Image Institute at the LISPEN laboratory in Chalon-sur-Saône, and Christophe Guillet, senior lecturer at the University of Burgundy and member of the Image Institute, visitedthe Institute for Information Management in Engineering (IMI) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, Germany) to discuss augmented reality and virtual reality.
