Specialized Master's Degree® in Drone Solutions Design: specialize in this promising field with huge potential!
Drones: a field with exceptional potential!
Dronesdrones, autonomous or remote-controlled unmanned aircraft, represent a field with enormous potential for future development and job creation. The technologies and solutions for drone use and their applications in industrial and consumer markets are vast. They will not only revolutionize many current professions and services, but also create professions that do not exist today. Combined with connected objects, they are one of the pillars of the Industry of the Future and a major challenge for society. However, while the technological offering is developing rapidly, the needs and potential for implementing these recent technologies remain unclear, and the new uses and associated sources of value are still largely unknown.
Arts et Métiers the needs in this field with a unique training program.
The Arts et Métiers campus offers high-value-added training programs:
- The first Specialized Master's degree in the field of drones: this is a one-year professional training program with an assignment carried out in a company in the field.

The first class of the Specialized Master's program graduated in October 2018.
Seven of the eight graduates were hired by the companies where they completed their professional thesis.
The second class on a professional mission
They completed eight academic modules providing a solid foundation in technology and applications, a management module in partnership with CEEMA, and three project modules combining the definition, design, and implementation of an operational drone solution.
A project to create a drone solution was presented to a jury on March 4, 2019 after more than eight weeks of research, practical work, and support from professors: aclimbing drone climbing drone for structural inspection.
This is a spider drone equipped with suction cups for movement (horizontal or vertical) and without restrictions on the type of material.
A second project group is taking over to equip the spider drone with a visual inspection system and payload.
Today, the seven interns are carrying out their six-month industrial assignments in companies that use drones or develop solutions in this field. They will defend their professional theses in October 2019.
