Aix-en-Provence
Welcome to the Aix-en-Provence campus!
The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers in a nutshell
Founded in 1843 in the historic heart of the city, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers enjoys a privileged geographical location that promotes its regional roots within three key industrial sectors: aeronautics, carbon-free energy, and digital technology. It has numerous partnerships with these sectors in the areas of training, research, and commercialization.
As part of this multi-disciplinary approach, the campus is an active member of the SAFE and Capenergie competitiveness clusters, as well as the Campus des métiers et des qualifications Industrie du futur Sud(Campus for Industry of the Future South Trades and Qualifications), which coordinate and lead various projects related to the training programs offered on campus.
In addition, the campus plays a major role in the Regional Conference of Grandes Ecoles, which brings together 20 institutions in the region covering a wide range of disciplines, from engineering and management to design and art.
A word from the campus director
The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers is establishing itself as a strategic player at the heart of tomorrow's major industrial challenges. Closely linked to the aeronautics, energy, and digital sectors, it trains engineers capable of meeting the technological and environmental challenges faced by regional, national, and international companies.
The Grande École Program's traditional curriculum remains the cornerstone of the campus, currently accounting for nearly half of the student body. Alongside it, specialized work-study engineering programs are experiencing steady growth, responding to the increasing demand from industry for immediately employable skills.
To support this momentum, the campus has embarked on a vast modernization program with the Evolutive Learning Factories project. This ambitious project aims to reinvent learning spaces and teaching approaches, fully integrating the principles of sustainable development, social responsibility, and energy efficiency. It is a real driver of attractiveness for the technology sector, supported by a large network of academic and industrial partners.
Through these transformations, the Aix-en-Provence campus is confirming its mission: to train pragmatic engineers who are also citizens and who will provide innovative solutions to socio-environmental challenges. With the involvement of the entire Arts et Métiers community, my ambition is Arts et Métiers this campus to be a major player in diversity, excellence, and innovation serving our region. Prof. Féthi Ben Ouezdou, Director of the Arts et Métiers campus in Arts et Métiers
