Conference organized as part of Industry Week from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Jacques Cliton Amphitheater

Conference with Georges SAPY, an engineer trained at Arts et Métiers Supélec, formerly of the EDF Group.

Remember, in 2015, ADEME published a study entitled "Towards 100% renewable electricity production by 2050." This study made headlines in the national press, both general and specialized, but also attracted considerable criticism due to its serious shortcomings, which were largely ignored by the media...

"The calculation is based on hourly intervals, but we should really be talking about seconds and minutes. This difference in units has major consequences for the limits on the introduction of intermittent electricity, wind and/or photovoltaic, as shown in the study published in 2015 by EDF R&D: "Technical and economic analysis of the European electricity system with 60% RES," says Georges SAPY.

With him, you will attempt to answer the following question: under these conditions, is self-consumption a (small) part of the solution?

The conference is co-organized with theCluny International Conference Center.
