The evolution towards Industry 5.0 is transforming industrial systems by integrating artificial intelligence, digitalization, and sustainability (human, ecological, and economic dimensions). As companies modernize, they are looking for engineers who can master the development and management of advanced, intelligent, and robotized systems while linking data exploitation and transformation project management. The Intelligent Industrial Systems Engineering program meets this need by training technical experts with innovation and project management skills.

Objectives

Train expert engineers in intelligent systems, capable of designing, developing, and managing innovative industrial projects incorporating robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced digital technologies.

Upon completion of the course, graduates will be able to:

  • Model, control, and operate robotic systems,
  • Mastering signal and image processing tools and methods,
  • Understanding the challenges of industrial systems enhanced by AI and humans,
  • Mastering data science tools and methods and their industrial applications,
  • Designing digital twin systems,
  • Manage innovative, technical, and scientific projects,
  • Develop interdisciplinary collaboration and effective professional communication,
  • Integrate ethical considerations, responsibility, and innovation into industrial projects.

ROBOTIC SYSTEMS

  • Needs, challenges, definition, and components of robotic systems
  • Modeling and Control of Industrial Robotic Systems
  • Control of robotic systems

The RoboDK software is used for offline programming of industrial robots.

Industrial Systems 5.0 - Data Science

  • Challenges of industrial systems augmented by AI and humans
  • Data science tools and methods and industrial applications
  • Digital twin system design

Smart Industrial Systems - Complex Project

  • Management of innovative, technical, and scientific projects
  • Image Processing – Vision and Augmented Reality 
  • Advanced Sensors and Actuators – Smart Materials

End-of-studies internship

Consolidation of knowledge through a minimum 24-week end-of-studies internship
