Chalon-sur-Saône: Laying of the foundation stone for the Digital City

On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, the first stone of the Cité du Numérique was laid, symbolized by a yellow cube. Laurent Champaney, CEO, and Frédéric Mérienne, Deputy Director of the Chalon-sur-Saône institute, laid their cube alongside Sébastien Martin, President of Grand Chalon, Thibault Duchêne, Deputy Administrator of the Cnam, and Jérôme Gutton, Prefect of Saône-et-Loire.

The aim of this event was to raise students' awareness of entrepreneurship and help them discover and develop their hidden talents through an educational approach.

Integrating business needs into students’ academic journey is now a reality thanks to the InnovAM Challenge (Innovating with Arts et Métiers). Following a highly successful inaugural edition in 2018, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers is repeating this experience, which immerses 75 second-year students from the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme the business world for a week. New for this second edition, InnovAM has been certified by French Fab as part of the launch of its“French Fab Challenge.”
