For 10 years now, this competition has served as a professional springboard for our students in Master of Science , and they are joined by students in the AI & Big Data engineering degree program offered by CNAM BFC. The competition is also introducing a new category of projects. In addition to virtual and augmented reality demos, projects focused on Artificial Intelligence are now being accepted.

A look back at this competition aimed at students and businesses in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

For 10 years now, the Institut Arts et Métiers Chalon-sur-Saône has been offering its Master of Science in Master of Science Digital Engineering Master of Science students in the “3D Interactive Technologies Management” (MTI3D) track the opportunity to challenge themselves through projects that put into practice their training in mastering all the methods and tools of digital transformation (3D, virtual reality).

The purpose of this contest

  • Strengthening ties between academia and industry
  • Introduce students to the challenges and demands they will face after graduation,
  • Open up new economic opportunities for businesses through the use of digital technologies, thereby promoting the digital transition through these technologies.

The Chal’engeAM challenge involves developing a prototype for participating companies within two weeks. To this end, the students began contacting companies in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in mid-November 2023 to present virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence tools. Together with the companies, they defined a set of specifications for the development of a prototype in the form of a functional proof of concept. The projects are carried out in student groups.
