In September 2018, Arts et Métiers VINCI Energies signed a three-year national sponsorship agreement worth €100,000.

Replacing traditional molds, which are expensive to purchase and energy-intensive, with composite tools heated by resistive heating elements inserted during manufacture is the specialty of the team at the Laboratory Manufacturing Composites (LMC) at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille, which is exhibiting at this year's Global Industrie trade show in Lyon.

The Global Industrie trade show will bring together several thousand exhibitors representing all industrial sectors in early March. Arts et Métiers of this opportunity to present its offering for businesses and assert its new identity: a socio-economic player serving regions and businesses. 

The concept of the "digital twin" dates back some fifteen years and is now spreading to all industrial sectors. Maurice Lepoivre, a machining teacher at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille, discusses its contribution to industrial parts machining and his teaching at Arts et Métiers.

Comob is the first tool for studying the dangers of cycling in urban areas. It involves, first, equipping bicycles with sensors to measure the distance at which cars overtake bicycles, and then developing a mobile application that can be used to plan safe routes. Comob is being developed at Arts et Métiers, within the Georges Charpak Institute of Human Biomechanics.

Alexis, Giovanni, and Marin are engineering students Arts et Métiers the Lille campus. They took part in the Catch the Drone challenge, organized by MDBA, and came in second place.

The 11th edition of the Forum Ingénieurs Avenir (Future Engineers Forum) will take place in Aix-en-Provence on March 7, 2019. This event is organized by the students themselves, with the aim of facilitating the recruitment of interns and young graduates, as well as learning more about local businesses.
