Better training thanks to Evolutive Learning Factories
Arts et Métiers, attentive to Industry 4.0, is transforming its educational platforms to meet the challenges of the industry of the future and train the players involved in its transformation. The Evolutive Learning Factory ELF) offers students and staff a concrete testing ground to develop their technological, digital, societal, and environmental skills.
For the year 2025-2026, two major areas of focus are highlighted:
- Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the Arts et Métiers ecosystem: training for 30% of staff and all first-year students through the rollout of the CAIRE project, a long-term, large-scale initiative to educate citizens on the uses of AI, launch of a working group on the topic, etc.
- Decarbonization of energy through three major campus projects:
- The Fluid-Thermal Center project onthe Metz campus: an eco-friendly educational facility focused on energy transition
- The Hydroxide project on the Paris campus: a demonstrator showcasing hydrogen-based technologies
- The Sphere project on the Aix-en-Provence campus: an innovative multi-energy platform for experimenting with low-carbon energy mixes
An evening event to discover these factory schools is being organized on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., under the patronage of an inspiring female engineer, manager, director, or athlete, at one of the eight campuses of your choice.

Provide more training to meet industry needs
By 2027, Arts et Métiers graduate 50% more students at its current and new campuses as part of strategic partnerships: the Saint Etienne branch in partnership with ISTP, the Rabat campus with the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade, andthe École Supérieure de Fonderie et de Forge (ESFF), which will join the Châlons-en-Champagne campus in 2026.
The school is also strengthening the development of apprenticeships: present in Angers since 2013, the Grande École Program (PGE) apprenticeship course has already been available on the Paris campus since the start of the 2025 academic year, with an initial group of 19 apprentices. Others will follow in Aix-en-Provence and Bordeaux-Talence to meet the growing needs of businesses.
Finally, the institution promotes the "Parcours Talents Arts et Métiers program, which aims to diversify the technical corps of the State socially and geographically. Aimed at engineering students with four years of higher education based on social criteria and nationality, this three-semester program with an end-of-studies internship has already enabled two out of four candidates to join institutions that train the State's major technical corps.
Placing societal and environmental issues at the heart ofArts et Métiers
Since 2022, the institution has been committed to a sustainable development and social responsibility approach. The goal is to make sustainability and social responsibility central components of school life, from student training to site management.
The institution has introduced a policy recognizing student engagement: since January 2025, 41 applications have been received and 9 approved, offering educational accommodations to students involved in social or environmental initiatives. This initiative reflects the school's commitment to training engineers who are aware of their social and environmental responsibilities.
In terms of the environment, Arts et Métiers in the second edition of the "Act Up" program, a project led by ADEME (the French Environment and Energy Management Agency) aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and decarbonizing the activities of higher education institutions. At the same time, all campuses signed a biodiversity charter in September 2025 and are implementing concrete actions: soil greening, creation of green spaces, local initiatives, etc.
An addiction prevention plan, funded by MILDECA, has also been launched to raise awareness and provide support to students and staff. The school has also renewed its action plan for professional equality between women and men for 2025-2027, adding a new focus, in line with the new ministerial action plan, on improving the health of staff, taking into account gender-specific issues.
Strengthen strategic partnerships
The project "Network of Industry of the Future Certified Campuses," known as RéCLasSIF, brings together Arts et Métiers the Institut Mines-Télécom to form a national academic network serving industry. Driven by an integrated approach combining research, technology transfer, dissemination, and training, RéCLasSIF brings together 29 initiatives, mobilizing 200 stakeholders, including researchers, engineers, technicians, doctoral students, and others, with a total budget of €36 million, of which €14.7 million is funded by the France 2030 program.
Arts et Métiers sustainable development and social responsibility a priority in its research and innovation strategy. This is evidenced by the ITTAI (Innovative Territories, Technodiversity and AI for a Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Evolving Society) project, which will develop a scientific expertise center to create innovative tools—particularly around digital twins—and offer sustainable solutions tailored to each territory. A launch seminar is scheduled for September 18, 2025, with scientific partners in attendance.
