Starting in September 2026, the Châlons-en-Champagne Campus will welcomethe École Supérieure de Fonderie et de Forge (ESFF), cementing a long-standing partnership and paving the way for new opportunities.
Stronger collaboration
Renowned for its expertise in the fields of foundry and forging, ESFF has maintained a close relationship with Arts et Métiers several years. Every year, ESFF students carry out their practical foundry work on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Châlons-en-Champagne, benefiting from the facilities and expertise of the teaching staff.
This regular collaboration is now evolving into a lasting relationship that goes far beyond simple continuity. It is a genuine partnership which, by strengthening ties, will benefit not only the two institutions, but also the Châlons region as a whole.
"Our campus has teaching spaces and workshops that enable us to host the ESFF in excellent conditions. In addition, the casting process is one of the areas of expertise of our research laboratory which, with the support of the CRSD in Châlons-en-Champagne, has equipped itself with a high-tech die casting platform. We have the human and material resources to make this partnership a real asset in terms of attractiveness and influence for both institutions and for our region," says Giovanni Radilla, Director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Châlons-en-Champagne.
An opportunity for the campus, students, and the city
The arrival of ESFF does not imply that courses will be shared with students from the Arts et Métiers campus. However, it does considerably enrich the academic and industrial ecosystem of Châlons-en-Champagne. This establishment will help to increase the attractiveness of the campus and the city by attracting talent from the foundry and forging industry.
Pierre-Yves Brazier, Director of ESFF, explains that this partnership will create a unique learning environment, where students will benefit from the best facilities and expertise of both institutions.
A win-win partnership for the industry
The partnership between these two institutions is not limited to simple academic cooperation; it also benefits local and national partner companies. By combining their resources and expertise, ESFF and the Châlons-en-Champagne campus will be able to offer companies a pool of qualified talent, ready to take on the challenges of the industry.
"Thanks to their close ties with businesses (the forging and foundry federation for ESFF, its sponsors, and its extensive alumni network for Arts et Métiers), regional and national industry will benefit from skilled and operational executives who are ready to take on the scientific, technical, and societal challenges facing industry," explains Giovanni Radilla.
This partnership is a real driver of development for the campus, ESFF, the city, and partner companies, offering new opportunities for everyone.
