MAYAM Skills Challenge: concrete solutions for innovation in businesses
The Arts et Métiers Institute Arts et Métiers Laval and Laval Mayenne Technopole are organizing the 8th edition of the MayAM (Mayenne Arts et Métiers) Skills Challenge from December 3 to 7, 2018, a program that brings together Arts et Métiers students Arts et Métiers companies in the Mayenne region to foster innovative projects.
The 32 students in Master of Science 3D Master of Science at the Arts et Métiers Institute Arts et Métiers Laval have one week to develop concrete solutions for seven companies in Mayenne on topics related to innovative technologies (virtual reality, augmented reality, connected devices, 3D printing, etc.).
“The goal of this challenge is to present projects that can be directly implemented within the company and to generate innovative ideas,” explains Simon Richir, director of the Arts et Métiers Institute Arts et Métiers Laval. “Our students are directly confronted with the challenges faced by the participating companies and must address their needs. This is an opportunity for them to test ideas and apply the skills they’ve acquired during their studies. It’s a real step into the corporate world.”
