Arts et Métiers, a leading technological institution with a strong focus on the industrial world, is partnering with Industry Week. For the seventh consecutive year, Arts et Métiers the results of its "Young People and Industry" survey conducted with OpinionWay*. Its campuses and institutes are mobilizing throughout the week to fly the flag for Industry 4.0 and offer meetings with inspiring personalities, industrialists, and students from the school.

Arts et Métiers the Comob project: connected bikes designed to map road hazards for cyclists

Comob is the first tool for studying the dangers of cycling in urban areas. It involves, first, equipping bicycles with sensors to measure the distance at which cars overtake bicycles, and then developing a mobile application that can be used to plan safe routes. Comob is being developed at Arts et Métiers, within the Georges Charpak Institute of Human Biomechanics.

Angéline Eymery, valedictorian of the 2017-2018 class of the Specialized Master's in Quality ManagementArts et Métiers, received the Special Jury Mention of the France Quality Performance Award for revolutionizing Safran's documentation system in record time: in just eight months, from the initial idea to the distribution of the new, fully digital quality manual to Safran's 91,000 employees. The success of this project has triggered a cultural transformation that affects both the dissemination of quality culture and the design of documentation at Safran.

Philippe Degobert appointed director of the Lille campus

Philippe Degobert takes over as director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille, which focuses on innovative topics related to the factory of the future. Among his priorities is a feasibility study on the creation of a Campus des Métiers et Qualification (Skills and Qualifications Campus) on the integration of the factory of the future into the city.
