Supported by corporate sponsors EDF, Hermès, digital transformation consulting firm mc2i, and Lenze Drive System, the goal of this new training chair is to bring together the academic and industrial worlds of the Hauts-de-France region around a key Industry 4.0 theme: industrial management.

A training chair closely aligned with industry needs

On Thursday, September 23, Arts et Métiers its patrons inaugurated the first training chair dedicated to industrial management on the Lille campus, with one goal in mind: to forge strong links between partner companies and engineering students in order to meet constantly evolving industrial needs.

The chair's sponsors will thus be able to:

• Participate in training tomorrow's engineers by co-developing certain educational modules in line with industrial realities. Experts will contribute to certain modules and also suggest topics for study.

• Have a special relationship with Arts et Métiers engineering students Arts et Métiers in industrial management.

The 24 Arts et Métiers engineering students Arts et Métiers Industrial Management, who are joining the training program at the Lille Campus, have already had the opportunity to meet the sponsors at a forum held on September 23.

Developing training to adapt to industrial needs

Industrial management teaching has evolved from case studies to business games and now, at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille, to practical applications using real production resources. "Industrial management professions are evolving, so it's important that training evolves too! In addition to the training chair, we will be launching professional contracts at the start of the 2022 academic year," announces Nathalie Klement, lecturer-researcher and head of the Industrial Management Chair.

According to Philippe Degobert, director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille:

We are delighted to welcome our four new patrons. This allows us to bring in practical cases, experience, and project topics. Connecting the real and the virtual in training is the very essenceArts et Métiers.
