Michal Lipian is a lecturer atthe University of Lodzin applied aerodynamics, specializing in wind tunnel experiments and numerical flow simulations.
In 2011, Michal Lipian enrolled in a dual degree program between Arts et Métiers the University of Lodz. He spent his first year at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny, then returned to Poland for his second year and completed his studies at theParis campus in Mechatronics Engineering. His final-year internship focused on the "Development of a digital model of flow around a DAWT (Diffuser Augmented Wind Turbine)". Michal then continued his studies with a joint PhD program with the Institute of Turbomachinery at Lodz University of Technology and LIFSE (Laboratory of Fluid Engineering and Energy Systems) on the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris. He defended his thesis on December 17, 2018, on the"Hybrid model for simulating flow through a streamlined birotor wind turbine and its experimental validation."
In his second year of doctoral studies, he was awarded the prestigiousEiffel Excellence Scholarshipby the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, which is administered byCampus France.

Eiffel Scholarship Program
It enables the training of future foreign decision-makers from the private and public sectors in priority fields of study and encourages applications from students from emerging countries aged 25 or under for master's degrees and from emerging and industrialized countries aged 30 or under for doctoral degrees.
In 2021, the MEAE awarded 347 scholarships for master's and doctoral programs (309 for master's programs and 38 for doctoral programs) out of 1,478 applications evaluated.
Campus France is responsible for managing the program.
