100 students and 70 coaches gathered from December 13 to 15 for the second business game at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers . The aim of this event was to raise students' awareness of entrepreneurship and help them discover and develop their hidden talents through an educational approach.

The students attended several lectures related to innovation in business models, the Business Model Canvas, and pitching.

The event partner, Vinci Energies, introduced the themes related to societal and environmental issues that the teams explored over the weekend: the city of tomorrow based on smart buildings, smart cities (energy and mobility infrastructure), and the services of tomorrow.

Coaches were on hand to support and encourage students to refine their ideas and structure technically feasible projects.

Students were able to carry out technical analyses, feasibility and regulatory studies, cost studies, and market surveys.

The teams prepared for the preliminary selection interviews by presenting their projects to mock juries. This was a valuable learning experience that quickly identified areas for improvement.

Six teams from the initial 20 were selected to participate in the grand final:

  • POSTLIGHT, a smart streetlight equipped with motion sensors for energy-efficient lighting
  • Ec’H2O, a shower tray that reduces water consumption by 90% thanks to its filtration and storage system
  • ECO BUSTEM, an electric bus that recharges at each stop using supercapacitors
  • QUICKPark, an app that maps available parking spaces in real time
  • SMART RECYCLING, automated recycling bins equipped with volumetric sensors that convey waste according to its composition
  •   ACT’TOWN, an application that allows citizens to report any urban problems (potholes, vandalism, etc.) to local authorities using geolocation.

The jury congratulated the students on the quality of their projects and presentations, as well as on the seriousness they demonstrated during this business game.

The choice was difficult. So difficult, in fact, that a team that had been eliminated but was the "jury's favorite" was highlighted that evening.

Congratulations to the winning team, Ec’H2O: Laura Roberti, Antoine Matrat, Sacha Beulry-Niejinski, Grégoire Thiollier, and Mathurin Laurent.
Congratulations to the organizing team and all the coaches Magali Boulanger and theAMJE and David Simonian.
Thank you to the event's sponsors and partners: Vinci Energies Pépite PACA Ouest, Crédit Agricole Capital Innovation Alpes Provence, EDF, Région Sud, CPME South Business Ideas.
