What is a business game, and what is it for?

70 coaches, business leaders, startup founders, and executives from large companies. More than 150 students expected. They all come together each year for a single challenge: JITCAM, a business game organized by the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers in conjunction with the Junior Enterprise.

What is a business game?

Propose a project on an innovative product or service related to themes proposed by partner companies:

  • Moving from idea to project in a short period of time (2 or 3 days)
  • A team of 5
  • Support from experts and professionals
  • Conferences and workshops on key aspects of project creation
  • Pitches in front of juries
  • Awards

A role-play exercise—what for?

To raise awareness among students about promoting and developing their entrepreneurial skills, which are essential talents for engineers.

Societal themes to address the challenges of tomorrow

  • Comfort: improving the comfort or ergonomics of a system or environment
  • Energy: reducing energy requirements, increasing energy self-sufficiency, ensuring energy independence
  • Environment: reducing the environmental impact of a system (noise, vibrations, light, pollutant emissions, etc.), reducing the material resources required to build or operate a system, using recycled resources to build a new system.
  • Health: protecting health, improving health, or compensating for a disability
  • Mobility: improving user mobility
  • Protection: protecting an environment from natural hazards, protecting an environment or system from attempts at damage or intrusion
  • Development assistance: providing resources or equipment needed in an environment that lacks them (water, energy, food, materials, etc.)
