Students and teachers at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers are mobilizing to welcome more thanmore than 130 middle school students forthe "Course en Cours" semi-finals. The goal: to raise awareness among young people about scientific and technical careers and, who knows, maybe even inspire some future professionals!

Putting theoretical knowledge into practice in a fun way

Arts et Métiers a talent accelerator for the industry of the future, Arts et Métiers to raise awareness among young people about scientific and technical professions and inspire them to pursue careers in these fields from an early age.
As a socio-economic player serving local communities, the school supports and promotes educational initiatives that encourage the practical application of the subjects taught in school. 

To take things further, demonstrations on the campus's technology platforms will enable middle school students to make the connection between what they learn in class and real-world applications in the fields of machining, foundry work, plastic deformation, and virtual reality.    

"Course en Cours" responds to this desire to put theoretical knowledge into practice in a fun way, explains Jean Quessada, director of the Arts et Métiers Campus Arts et Métiers .

An innovative program to create the vehicle of the future

The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers is mobilizing its students and teachers to organize the semi-finalon Thursday, April 4, which this year brings together 21 teams of students from grades 7 to 9 from two middle schools in Maine-et-Loire: Colbert in Cholet and Prévert in Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe.
During the school year, teams of 4 to 6 middle school students build their electric race car using the same tools and processes as engineers and professionals in the racing world.
The goal: to imagine, design, model, manufacture, test, and race their mini electric-powered race car in regional competitions to qualify for the National Finals.
