1,000 young Gadz'arts at the 2019 Grandes UAI

The 45th edition of the Grandes UAI (Inter-University Athletic Union) will take place in Aix-en-Provence from May 30 to June 2. An event organized by the students themselves, which takes place in a spirit of friendly competition.

As every year, students enrolled in the general engineering program at all Arts et Métiers campuses Arts et Métiers from all corners of France to participate in the Grandes UAI. Over three days, they will compete in 40 events representing several individual and team sports: rugby, soccer, swimming, handball, basketball, track and field, and more.

Their goal: to win the titles of Champion of the Major AUIs and Best Supporter.

Everyone will participate in their own way, and that is also what has made this gathering so successful for 45 years.

For the organizing team, made up of Arts et Métiers students, this is a challenge in terms of logistics, safety, and economics. With a budget of €150,000, the stakes are high!

It is also about maintaining the good relations that the campus enjoys with the city of Aix-en-Provence, alumni, and partner companies, which, by associating themselves with this event, promote the values of sport and enjoy excellent visibility among 1,000 future Arts et Métiers  engineers Arts et Métiers
