In each episode, designed and hosted by Carole Wahnoun, a research engineer on the Paris campus, with technical support from Jean-Marc Rousseau, Multimedia Designer and Producer at ICIFTech, a new guest discusses a topic that is important to them and related to Arts et Métiers.

In this new episode, we explore the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers , founded in 1843, and welcome its director, Prof. Féthi Ben Ouezdou. He reveals the many facets of his campus, as well as his ambitions for the future.
Féthi Ben Ouezdou works daily to create an environment conducive to the success of students and staff, with an emphasis on listening, innovation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
The director shares his desire to strengthen ties with the local business community in order to firmly anchor training programs in the reality of contemporary business and industrial challenges.
It also works to link the continuum—training, research, and promotion—around a structuring project for Arts et Métiers Evolutive Learning Factory, a factory-school. A true showcase for the institution, this initiative embodies this synergy by combining pedagogy, technology, and collaborative innovation with the ambition of creating momentum to increase the visibility and attractiveness of the campus.

Biography of Féthi Ben Ouezdou
Féthi Ben Ouezdou is an Arts et Métiers engineer (Angers 1983) and has been a university professor since 2005. He was Vice President of the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin for Research and Innovation Promotion until 2016, Scientific Director of the Institute for Energy Transition ITE VEDECOM, and then Director of Training and Research at ENSTA.
With 37 years of experience in higher education, his career has been dedicated to training, research, and promotion through numerous research projects. This has resulted in the publication of approximately 150 articles in journals and conference proceedings, the filing of eight patents, and the defense of 31 doctoral theses. During his tenure as vice president and scientific director, he also helped launch several startups.
His research topics focus on electromobility, autonomous vehicles, biomimetic design, and humanoid robotics applied to healthcare.
Professor Féthi Ben Ouezdou was appointed Director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers in September 2022.
