CrAMfunding poster, 2nd edition"Intelligent and sustainable cities for a better life " is the theme chosen this year for the new edition of CrAMfunding, launched on September 14. " This campaign is aimed at all students at the institution. precise Aurore Friedlander, Director of Marketing, Communications, and Fundraising. " The goal of this challenge is to raise awareness of entrepreneurial dynamics.. For students, this is an opportunity to develop project management skills to better meet the challenges of tomorrow. "

Innovative or socially responsible projects

Responding to the call for projects couldn't be easier. Simply send in your application by the end of October. The projects selected must be innovative or socially responsible, as demonstrated by those chosen last year: a connected shopping cart, an eco-friendly incubator, an urban vegetable garden kit, a solar pumping installation in Benin, etc.(see all the projects selected for the 2016-2017 edition).
Applications will be reviewed by a jury composed of experts from KissKissBankBank andEngie, partners in the campaign, an Arts et Métiers engineer Arts et Métiers representatives from the school. Projects led by a mixed team, i.e., consisting of at least one woman and one man, will receive a bonus during the jury's evaluation.

A contribution of €1,000 for each project

The selected teams will receive personalized training and support from crowdfunding specialists, and their projects will be featured on the KissKissBankBank website for a campaign open to the general public. In addition, the school will contribute €1,000 to each team.

"The first edition had a success rate of 90%, with 9 out of 10 projects completing their fundraising campaigns, " says Aurore Friedlander, "and more than €100,000 raised. That's the record to beat this year!"

This experience will be beneficial for our future careers as engineers. Running a crowdfunding campaign requires skills in project management, communication, marketing, and strategy. These are all qualities that companies now look for in an engineer.
