Arts et Métiers, in partnership with KissKissBankBank and ENGIE, launched the first edition of CrAMfunding, an entrepreneurial challenge aimed at its students. The goal of this unique initiative is to raise student awareness of entrepreneurial dynamics and offer them the opportunity to develop project management skills to better meet the challenges of tomorrow.

A success rate of 90%, with 9 out of 10 projects completing their fundraising campaigns, is a more than encouraging result for this first edition. In total, the projects raised more than €100,000 from over 1,500 donors in two months.

Most of them exceeded their targets, sometimes by a wide margin. The Longue Piste Vers Saigon project, from the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille, achieved a collection rate of 255%! The iFollow team, whose project is to design a connected shopping cart, achieved the highest collection rate: €50,041, while the initial target was €30,000. iFollow was voted Banque Postale's favorite in January and received a €15,000 matching contribution. "The CrAMfunding challenge was an opportunity for us to present iFollow to the general public, gather lots of valuable feedback, and forge links with new investors and/or customers," explains one of the start-up's partners.

This closing ceremony was an opportunity for three of the nine projects to receive special awards:

  • The Grand Prize awarded to the iFollow team by Arts et Métiers > prize money: €5,000
  • The Grand Patron Award to the Long Track to Saigon team by Kiss Kiss Bank Bank -> prize: a sidecar
  • The Grand Public Award goes to the team Sol’Arts Bénin by Engie - > prize: Solar panel kits
