"Inspiring vocations to meet the challenges of the industry of the future"
Each of the 18 portraits featured in the exhibition serves as a reminder, if one were needed, that women have a rightful place in the industrial world, which is still overwhelmingly male-dominated. From robotics to cosmetics, biomechanics, aeronautics, and virtual reality, these young women illustrate the diversity of professions and sectors open to all engineering school graduates. However, women remain under-represented in scientific and technical careers, accounting for an average of 28% of engineering students in France. Promoting science and technology to young girls is a priority for Arts et Métiers, a leading technology school.
"Technologie, nom féminin" aims to promote the careers of passionate female engineers in order to break down stereotypes and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
