Due to its status as a CFA (apprenticeship training center), AMTALENTS ( arts et métiers subsidiary) was able to seek external funding from OPCO 2i (inter-industry skills operator) in order to invest in educational equipment used in apprenticeship training programs.
In this context, in 2023, AMTALENTS obtained funding for educational equipment, two-thirds of which directly supports ELF projects. For example, through the purchase of an instrumented robotics island, a virtual reality laboratory, and a recording studio, financed at 50% of the total project cost for the Metz campus, and the acquisition of a melting furnace and equipment for NDT for the Châlons-en-Champagne campus.
In 2024, AMTALENTS has just obtained funding of nearly €600,000 from OPCO 2i to contribute to the ELFs. This will enable the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers to modernize its equipment with the acquisition of an automated molding machine, a zero-gravity arm, and an automatic mixer to regenerate green sand for the foundry platform. The main objective is to offer an automated technology platform that reflects the techniques used in industry. This modernization also incorporates sustainable development. The Metz campus will be equipped with an advanced manufacturing technology platform and a digital twin platform. Finally, the Paris campus will acquire a hydrogen test bench for educational and experimental purposes, which will complement the practical work of the program, currently focused solely on the simulation and modeling of hydrogen systems, and will be aimed at both the Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering departments.
The organization intends to continue this momentum by increasing funding requests to potential financiers in order to contribute to the ELF's development strategy.
