At a press conference on November 30, 2023, Arts et Métiers its comprehensive range of business support services through AMTALENTS, its continuing education subsidiary, AMVALOR, its technology transfer and research promotion subsidiary, and the institution's Business Relations Office.
Faced with rapid changes in industry and its professions, Arts et Métiers developed a range of services designed to meet the needs of businesses. The institution has therefore designed a comprehensive support program based on three pillars:
- Continuing education, through its training organization AMTALENTS
- Recruitment through the corporate relations office (BRE)
- Researchand development through its commercialization subsidiary
The conference took place on November 30, 2023, at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Paris, attended by Laurent Champaney, CEOArts et Métiers; Xavier Chateau, Deputy CEO of the Arts et Métiers Group; Philippe Rouch, Director of Corporate RelationsArts et Métiers; Coline Moal Vignon, Director of AMTALENTS; and Stéphane Desmaison, Director of AMVALOR.
DEVELOPING EMPLOYABILITY IN THE INDUSTRY WITH THE SUBSIDIARY AMTALENTS
In 2021, Arts et Métiers the subsidiary AMTALENTS to contribute to continuing education and certified work-study programs and apprenticeship training.
In 2023, the AMTALENTS subsidiary launched apprenticeship and continuing education programs in conjunction with the Arts et Métiers training program. Today, its training program consists of:
- Short inter-company training courses,
- Customized in-house training courses designedto closely match the needs of the company, its context, and its challenges.
- 14 Specialized Master's degrees, which provide in-depth expertise in a specific field or function, as well as an Executive MBA.
AMTALENTS aims to increase the number of apprentices by 50% by 2027 through a range of initiatives, such as supporting companies with job dating events and tailor-made training programs.
AMTALENTS will also offer new work-study and continuing education programs starting in the fall of 2024, in line withArts et Métiers key themesArts et Métiers
- An MBA in Business & Technology with ESCAA to train leaders committed to technological and environmental transformation.
- A diploma program in Digital Industry and AI with the Data ScienceTech Institute (DSTI) focusing on digital industry and artificial intelligence.
- An AI Tech Ready diploma to develop the skills needed for model reduction and hybrid modeling of industrial systems.
FACILITATING RECRUITMENT BY COMPANIES THROUGH THE ARTS AND CRAFTS BUSINESS RELATIONS OFFICE
Beyond education, Arts et Métiers, through its corporate relations office (BRE), supports its students and companies in their recruitment efforts through a number of initiatives:
- Support for candidates and companies through job dating events and candidate coaching
- Provision of a Jobteaser platform platform for all internship, job, and VIE offers, bringing together more than 400 companies.
- Arts et Métiers Forum – Arts et Métiers and Careers : oneof the largest recruitment forumsorganizedevery year by Arts et Métiers students.
- The Job Board managed by the alumni association (SOCE) in close collaboration with the BRE, which forwards all job offers received to it.
- Professional support for students (APE) aimed at increasing their employability and preparing them for the challenges they will face in their professional careers
BRE also supports companies in their relations with each Arts et Métiers campus. It helps promote their employer brandthroughoriginal initiatives such as hackathons, company visits, conferences, and debates. These long-term relationships can also lead to the creation of training chairs, suchas the one with Sopra-Steria.
DEVELOPING SUPPORT FOR COMPANIES' RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS WITH THE SUBSIDIARY AMVALOR
For 50 years, AMVALOR has been promoting relations between 15 Arts et Métiers laboratories, the 23 laboratories of the Institut CarnotArts laboratories, and companies seeking innovative technological solutions and R&D expertise with 18 regional locations. AMVALOR's primary role is to identify companies' needs in terms of technological developments and innovation.
In this regard, AMVALOR achieved the following objectives in 2022:
- 43 jobs created by the scheme in 40 companies, more than 50% of which are micro-enterprises and SMEs.
- 23 young graduates hired
- 10 Arts et Métiers laboratories Arts et Métiers
- €4 million in subsidies for partner companies
- 40 startups supported
Through its partnership with the Pertinence Invest 2, AMVALOR aims to stimulate and support the development of technology spin-offs from its research laboratories. The first examples of spin-offs have been financed thanks to this fund:
- The project Bimeo project: a collaborative BIM platform that helps construction professionals optimize their processes in the face of renovation challenges.
- The WINmed project WINmed project: a comprehensive and innovative revision solution, with virtual and augmented reality content, to support medical students in their exam preparation.
