Arts et Métiers engineering students Arts et Métiers that, both in their university studies and in their community life, mastery of speech and the construction of clear arguments are essential.To support them in this awareness and to help them improve their oral communication skills, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny is organizing the second edition of its public speaking competition.

Students are fortunate to benefit from the involvement of Maître Olivier Masi, a lawyer at the Paris Bar, who has offered to hold two preparation sessions for candidates. On the evening of the competition, candidates will have to defend their arguments in a five-minute speech.

With this competition, I wanted to put myself in danger, explains Arnaud, winner of the audience award at the first edition.

Members of the jury

The jury will be composed of individuals experienced in public speaking:

  • Olivier Masi, attorney at law,
  • Laurence Terk, director of the Théâtre Scènenationale de Mâcon,
  • Stéphane Margand, manager of Generali insurance agencies and President of the Mâconnais Football Union,
  • Michel Jauzein, Director of the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny
  • and Agnès Bourg, teacher of humanities at the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Cluny
