This section is intended for international applicants who wish to study at Arts et Métiers part of a partnership with one of the school's partner universities. Please first check with your institution to find out about existing programs.
Dual Degree Programs
Presentation
Students enrolled in dual degree programs attend Arts et Métiers one or two years in order to graduate from the school at the end of the program, in addition to receiving a degree from their home institution.
Depending on the interinstitutional agreements between Arts et Métiers the home institution, students may apply to enroll in one of the following programs:
- 2 years in the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme PGE) to earn theArts et Métiers Engineering Degree. The structure of the dual-degree program may vary depending on the student’s home institution.
- One year in a Master of Science programto earn a National Master of Science degree fromArts et Métiers. Depending on the inter-institutional agreement, not all master’s programs are open to dual-degree students.
Language requirements
Double Engineering Degree
The Grande Ecole Engineering Programme is taught exclusively in French.
Applicants must provide proof of French language proficiency at level B2. The following certificates are accepted: DELF, DALF, TCF (5 skills) or TEF (4 skills). Regardless of the test taken, it must include assessments for the following skills: reading and listening comprehension, writing and speaking.
If applicants are unable to provide proof of French language proficiency, they may take the Arts et Métiers French test. This test is not certified. In order to obtain their degree, students must obtain a DELF B2 certificate during their studies at Arts et Métiers.
Dual Master of Science Degree
Master’s programs are taught in either French or English. Applicants must verify the language of instruction for Master of Science program Master of Science provide proof of a minimum B2 level. The following certificates are accepted:
- French: DELF, DALF, TCF (5 skills) or TEF (4 skills). Whichever test is taken, it must include assessments for the following skills: written and oral comprehension, written and oral expression.
- English: TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS (for any other proof, contact admissions@ensam.eu)
Non-degree exchange programs
Exchange students will take courses for one semester or one year, receiving credit equivalent to their home institution's degree (recognition of academic credits).
Depending on the interinstitutional or Erasmus agreements between Arts et Métiers the home institution, students may apply to enroll in one of the following programs:
- One or two semesters of the 2nd or 3rd of the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme, depending on the student’s academic level.
- One or two semesters of a Master of Science program (first or second year), depending on the student’s academic level. Some Master’s programs may not be open to exchange students.
Important information:
- Students must choose a course of study and a semester and take the courses scheduled for that course of study.
- It is not possible to combine courses from different programs.
- Most Master of Science courses Master of Science offered only during the first semester of the academic year (September–January). The second semester of the academic year (January–July) is dedicated to the internship; only the courses for Master of Science are offered during the second semester (January–July).
- Courses in English are only taught during the first semester (September–January).

Admissions
The appointment
The first stage of admission is the nomination of candidates pre-selected by their home institution.
Nominations should be sent to admissions@ensam.eu by the home institution.
Once your nomination has been sent by your university and received by our international relations department, you will be contacted with the application procedure to follow.
Important: your nomination is only a pre-selection by your home institution. You must apply toArts et Métiers participate in the academic exchange program. Admission by Arts et Métiers automatic and may be refused by our services.
The application
*For National Master of Science degrees, the application deadline refers to the date on which the platform automatically closes the application process. However, applicants must submit their applications within two weeks of starting their online application process.
Candidates nominated by their home institution will receive instructions by email on how to apply to Arts et Métiers. Applications can only be submitted online.
Applicants to Grande Ecole Engineering Programme complete a form and upload the following documents:
- A passport photo
- A form of identification (passport or national identity card)
- A one-page resume (with photo)
- A cover letter
- All transcripts obtained in higher education
- Study contract
- A French language certification
Applicants for the National Master of Science degree Master of Science complete a form and upload the following documents:
- A passport photo
- A resume
- A cover letter
- All transcripts obtained in higher education
- Proof of highest degree
- Classification certificate (if available)
- One to two letters of recommendation written by a teacher/supervisor
- Study contract
- A French and/or English language certificate (depending on the chosen course)
Important:
Students are strongly advised to apply as soon as possible and not wait until the application deadline.
There are several deadlines for applicants depending on the program of study, so please check them carefully. Make sure that your complete application, including all required documents uploaded, has been submitted to theArts et Métiers online systemArts et Métiers the appropriate deadline. Your application will only be evaluated if all documents are uploaded to the system before the application deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Please note that no printed documents should be mailed to Arts et Métiers.
Once you have completed the various sections of the application form, you can submit it. Please note that no changes can be made after the application has been submitted.
When choosing your study program, carefully check the campus where the courses are taught.
When you complete your application for the engineering program, you may be asked to rank the campuses in order of preference. Campuses are assigned to students at the beginning of June. Therefore, with a few exceptions, incoming students do not know their campus in advance, even if an offer of admission has been sent. We do our best to assign students to their first choice, but even so, we cannot guarantee a place at a particular campus. Therefore, please do not book accommodation until you have received confirmation of the campus to which you have been assigned.
Admissions and enrollment
Admitted students will receive an admission letter by email, along with their assigned campus, a link to register, and the contact details for their campus's International Relations Office so that they can begin preparing for their arrival at Arts et Métiers.
When registering, you will be asked to provide the following documents:
- Copy of valid ID (passport, long-stay visa marked "student")
- Copy of valid residence permit (marked "student"), or receipt for residence permit application in progress, or copy of long-stay visa marked "student."
- Health insurance certificate (European card, Form E, or other)
- Certificate of liability insurance
- A payment method for settling tuition fees
