The Arts et Métiers Institute Arts et Métiers Chalon-sur-Saône is organizing theChal'EngeAM challenge in partnership with Le Grand Chalon, UIMM,IUT Chalon-sur-Saône, and Cnam

A competition for students and businesses in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

From January 12 through January 25, students in Master of Science in Chalon-sur-Saône are working on prototypes based on virtual and augmented reality concepts for local companies. They are divided into different groups and are working according to the specifications they defined in advance with the companies.

This contest is an opportunity to: 

  • to strengthen ties betweenacademia and industry,
  • to introduce students tothe challenges and demands of the professional world,
  • to raise awareness among businesses ofthe newopportunities made possible by the use of digital technologies.

Nine projects are in the running, including five with partner companies: Haulotte, Industeel, Fluidexpert, HydroProcess, and Selforme. The other four projects areentrepreneurial innovation projectsfocused on eco-responsibility, a new feature for this eighth edition.

Students will present their projects on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 4 p.m. in the Bloc Central amphitheater at the IUT in Chalon-sur-Saône before ajury composed of companies and elected officials from Greater Chalon. Four prizes will be awarded on this occasion:

  • an economic opportunity cost,
  • a convincing price,
  • an innovation award
  • an audience award.

Practical information

Due to the current health situation, a health pass will be required to access the amphitheater.
