Speed dating to land a professional training contract

Securing a professional training contract during a speed-dating event was the challenge taken up by students on the bachelor's degree in technology program at the Lille campus.

This event is a real opportunity for the 11 second-year bachelor's degree students in technology to secure a professional training contract for their third year. Several companies , including Valeo, Vinci Construction, Actemium, Ceresil, and KSB, attended the event to meet students they had previously selected after reviewing their resumes. Eight other companies, unable to attend, will receive the students directly at their premises. After a 10- to 20-minute interview, the companies will contact the students to let them know whether their application has been accepted for a professional training contract starting in September 2017. According to Bernard Charat, head of the bachelor's program in Lille, "it is essential to connect bachelor's students with companies to promote their professional integration." For Jimmy, a second-year bachelor's student, "it's a real challenge, so the interviews are much more stressful than during simulations." He came away satisfied after a 20-minute exchange with one of the companies present.

The Bachelor of Technology at the Lille campus

This program opened its doors in Lille in 2016. At the bachelor's degree level, this program allows first- and second-year students in the BTS CPI (Industrial Product Design) program to complete their training and enhance their skills in mechanical design, processes, and project management. Upon completion of their BTS, students will be able to enter a third year of study, which they will complete through a work-study program. After this bachelor's degree, students will choose to enter the job market or continue their studies!
