On Tuesday, October 3, Arts et Métiers and the University of Corsica Pascal Paoli signed a framework partnership agreement covering education, research, and innovation.
This agreement is part of the creation of the Arts et Métiers network, one of whose objectives is to support regions in their economic development. This alliance demonstratesArts et Métiers desireArts et Métiers a lasting and profitable presence across the island, supporting local authorities and promoting regional development.
" In Corsica,Arts et Métiers involvementArts et Métiers based on the University of Corsica, a major player in the island's development and a bridge between young people and the business world, " explains Alexandre Rigal, Deputy CEOArts et Métiers. "With support from the French government and the Corsican regional authorities, the university has successfully developed a coherent project that responds to the needs of society. These values bring our two institutions closer together and make this cooperation a natural fit."
The signing of this agreement marks the culmination of two years of regular collaboration between the two institutions, notably marked byArts et Métiers participationArts et Métiers school council of Paolitech, the University of Corsica's internal engineering school. It will be rolled out throughout 2018 and will focus on three key areas in particular:
- Renewable energy
- Development of a wood industry
- Virtual reality and augmented reality
Arts et Métiers Pascal Paoli University have agreed to collaborate in each of these three areas to provide initial training and research activities. In particular, Arts et Métiers to develop Paolitech and enhance its appeal. The two institutions also intend to jointly provide continuing education and technological support, with a particular focus on assisting the island's microbusinesses and SMEs.
