Gadz'innov 2026: Another successful edition!

The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille organized a new edition of the Gadz'Innov challenge from February 9 to 11, an event that has become a must for students in the Grande École Program!

Once again this year, energy and creativity were in full swing: eight partner companies—including EDF, Eqiom, L’Oréal, Decathlon, Safran, Nyrio, and Superquinquin— presented 11 real-world challenges that second-year engineering students in the Grande Ecole Engineering Programme intensively over the course of three days.

Special support and highlights rich in exchanges

As in the first edition, the challenge was punctuated by coaching sessions led by companies and external speakers.

Among these various sessions, most of which were led by Johanna Savary Petit, Project Manager at EDF, was the masterclass "Robust Design in Uncertain Environments," led by Bastien Jakobiac, member of the LaRobustesse.org collective, which allowed students to explore methods of innovation in the face of uncertainty.

The Gadz'Innov challenge also gave students the opportunity to attend institutional presentations by partner companies and learn about the professions and career or internship opportunities on offer. This was a special occasion that was greatly appreciated, as first-year students were also invited to attend.

Lunches and dinners also provided an opportunity for the teams participating in the challenge and partners to strengthen ties and increase networking opportunities. The dinners were organized entirely by the students, with a concert/jam session and a rock party, contributing to the success of this edition!

A strong commitment from the entire campus

The last afternoon of the challenge, devoted to pitches for the solutions devised by the various teams, brought together the different juries: faculty members, teachers, administrative staff, and first-year students, who participated in evaluating the projects.

Three prizes recognizing innovation and commitment were awarded following deliberations:

  • Innovation award for a team challenged by Safran
  • The sustainable development award for a team challenged by Decathlon
  • The students' favorite, as voted by the jury of first-year students, went to a team challenged by Eqiom.

In addition, several partner companies wanted to recognize their favorite teams, notably by offering site visits.

Renewed support from campus sponsors

The Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Lille would like to warmly thank all participating companies for their commitment and the quality of the issues they raised. Special mention goes to the sponsors of the Lille campus—EDF, Safran, L'Oréal, and Eqiom—for their ongoing support and essential contribution to the success of this edition of the Gadz'Innov challenge.

Well done and thank you also to the team that organized this challenge, especially Sylvain Bigot, Anthony Quenehen, Fadlallah Abouhadid, Grégory Sarafian, Jules Leconte, and Edouard Desoil!
