On Monday, December 15, 2025, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talence officially signed a partnership agreement with the Université des Métiers du Nucléaire (UMN), marking an important step in the development of training programs related to the strategic challenges facing the French nuclear industry. This partnership is part of a collaborative approach between the UMN, the Pôle Formation UIMM Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the IUT de Bordeaux, and Arts et Métiers, aimed at integrating the Passeport Nucléaire program into the courses offered on the Bordeaux campus.

A partnership in support of the "Nuclear Passport"

Against a backdrop of strong recovery in the French nuclear industryand increased demand for skilled workers, the Arts et Métiers campus Arts et Métiers Bordeaux-Talencehas signed a partnership agreement with the Université des Métiers du Nucléaire (University of Nuclear Professions), formalizing its commitment to skills development in this strategic sector.

Thanks to this agreement, the campus is joining the "Nuclear Passport" program, run by the University of Nuclear Professions. Starting in the 2026 academic year, this program will be gradually rolled out across the campus's courses.

The Nuclear Passport aims to strengthen students' nuclear culture through dedicated modules focusing in particular on the challenges facing the industry, safety, quality, regulation, innovation, and industrial performance.It is a real asset for students, enhancing their educational background and facilitating their professional integration into a sector with high demand for skills.

Training tomorrow's engineers for a strategic sector

By entering into this partnership, theArts et Métiers campus is affirming its commitment toactively contribute to the training of future engineers and technical managers who willbe working in the nuclear industry.

The integration of the Nuclear Passport into training programs will strengthen ties between academia and industry, while giving students a better understanding of the realities and career opportunities in the sector.

In line with this approach, Xavier Aubard, campus director , has also signed a letter of intent with the UIMM Nouvelle-Aquitaine Training Center, reflecting a shared desire to collaborate, in accordance with the legal and regulatory framework, in order to meet the challenges of training and skills development in strategic industrial sectors.

This cooperation aims in particular to improve the quality of training, promote the exchange of skills between academic and industrial players, and develop innovative training programs and initiatives in line with the needs of businesses.

These actions illustrate the campus's commitment to providing excellent training that meets the needs of industry and the energy challenges of tomorrow.
