The RéCLasSIF project (Network of Campuses Labeled Industry Solutions of the Future) aims to accelerate industrial transformation in France. This project, led by Arts et Métiers partnership with the Institut Mines-Télécom, is funded by the ANR as part of a PIA4 call for projects. Today, RéCLasSIF is helping to fund around 20 projects across the eight Arts et Métiers campuses, Arts et Métiers on four themes.

“This is one of the most important projects Arts et Métiers has undertaken Arts et Métiers years,” says Sébastien Fernandez enthusiastically about the RéCLasSIF project (Network of Certified ‘Solutions for the Industry of the Future’ Campuses)! The funding received as part of the “Support for Solutions for the Industry of the Future” call for proposals under the “Academic Excellence and Technology Transfer Platforms” component of the France 2030 Plan attests to this: 15 million euros out of a total budget of 38 million, with the remaining 23 million allocated to team time and equipment costs.
This project officially began on September 1, 2024, for a duration of five years.

A network of accredited campuses

RéCLasSIF, a program led by Arts et Métiers partnership with the Institut Mines-Télécom, aims to provide change management support to businesses across the country, complementing technological development with training and innovation.

The goal is to create a network of SIF-certified (L-Solutions Industrie du Futur) campuses to promote a green and responsible industry.
The industrialization of the developed technological solutions will be deployed and promoted via a shared services platform, HUB-SIF. Demonstrations conducted by solution providers partnering with L-SIF campuses will be integrated and shared there. HUB-SIF’s functionalities will be expanded or enhanced with management tools to increase synergies between companies offering and seeking solutions.

Four themes related to business transformation

RéCLasSIF’s focus areas contribute to the four key drivers of competitiveness linked to the necessary transformations in businesses:

  • Internet of Things and digital infrastructure,
  • Advanced technologies for design and manufacturing,
  • Green industry and impact measurement,
  • Economy and Society.

Project Funding at Arts et Métiers Campuses

RéCLasSIF is already making an impact on campuses, as it helps fund some twenty projects across the eight Arts et Métiers campuses. For example, in the fields of analysis and testing—including non-destructive testing—forging and plastic deformation, additive manufacturing and laser processes, energy management, and wood processing and manufacturing.
